NDHC Winter Holiday Hockey Clinic 

Join us these winter school holidays for two action-packed days of hockey development, games and fun at Northern District Hockey Club!

The NDHC Winter Holiday Hockey Clinic is open to players from U8 to U16 of all skill levels. Whether you're new to hockey or looking to improve your game, this clinic is designed to help players build confidence, develop skills and enjoy spending time with other hockey players.

Sessions will be led by experienced coaches and senior players, with a focus on skill development, small-sided games, match play and having fun.

Dates & Times

📅 15-16 July 2026- Second week of the winter school holidays

🕘 Full Day: 9:00am – 3:00pm
🕘 Half Day: 9:00am – 12:30pm

Cost

• Both Full Days: $100
• 1 Full Day: $60
• Half DayL $40.00

Who Can Attend?

• Players aged U8 to U16
• Open to players from all clubs
• Suitable for beginners through to experienced players

What's Included? 

• Day 1 – Core Skills & Confidence

  Players will work on:

  • Ball control and dribbling
  • Passing and receiving
  • Elimination skills and beating a defender
  • Goal scoring techniques
  • Positioning and decision making
  • Small-sided games to apply new skills

  The afternoon will focus on fun game-based activities and modified matches where players can put their learning into practice.

  Day 2 – Match Skills & Game Play

  Players will build on the skills from Day 1 through:

  • Advanced skill challenges
  • Attacking and defending principles
  • Teamwork and communication
  • Game awareness and decision making
  • Specialist skill sessions (age and coach dependent)
  • Tournament-style games and match play

  The clinic will finish with fun competitions, team challenges and plenty of opportunities for players to showcase what they have learned over the two days.

What to Bring

✅ Hockey stick (loan sticks available)
✅ Mouthguard (mandatory)
✅ Shin pads (mandatory)
✅ Water bottle
✅ Lunch (full-day participants)
✅ Sunscreen and hat

Sign In & Sign Out

All participants must be signed in by a parent or guardian. For child safety, the person collecting a participant must be the same person who signed them in unless alternative arrangements have been communicated to event organisers prior to collection.

Additional Information

• The canteen will be open during the clinic.
• Places are limited and registrations are essential.
• Further event information will be emailed to registered participants closer to the clinic date.
