Three Junior Teams Become Premiers for 2011

Congratulations to:

U11 ND Gold – U11 A Division Premiers

U15 ND Blue – U15 B Division Premiers

U15 ND Maroon – U15 C Division Premiers

Across both Friday and Saturday all five ND teams competing in Grand Finals performed very well. The three teams above came out Premiers while both U13 ND Gold & U13 ND Blue fought hard and close games that made everyone involved very proud of all the players.

Ash Thomas Named in the Australian U16 School Boys Team

In August, Ash Thomas, a former NDHA junior and current U17 Norwest Strikers player, represented NSW at the Australian School Boys 16 Years & Under Hockey Championship in Newcastle. The NSW team put in a number of strong performances on their way to the final where they were pipped at the post by QLD.

At the conclusion of the Championship, Ash Thomas and six of his NSW team mates were named in the Australian U16 School Boys Hockey team which will tour Europe next March.

We wish to congratulate Ash on his selection and all the best for the up coming tour!

All nine Northern District Hockey junior teams and our two affiliated Norwest Strikers U17 teams have qualified for their respective Semi Final Series.

We wish to congratulate all the players, coaches, managers and families involved. This result is fantactsic and reflects all the hard work everyone has put in this season.

The best of luck for each team in their quest to further their season.

The age that you trial for is your age division as at 1 January 2012.

U11 Boys

The U11 Boys first trial for a position in one of 2 North Area Junior Hockey Association (NAJHA) teams. If selected into a NAJHA team the player will progress on to the Sydney Junior Hockey Association (SJHA) selection trials.

• NAJHA Trial 1 & 2:  to be scheduled late March/April 2012
• SJHA Trial 1 & 2:     to be scheduled April 2012

SJHA will select 2 U11 Boys teams for the 2012 representative season.

U13 Boys

The U13 Boys first trial for a position in one of 2 North Area Junior Hockey Association (NAJHA) teams. If selected into a NAJHA team the player will progress on to the Sydney Junior Hockey Association (SJHA) selection trials.

SJHA will select 1 or 2 U18 Girls teams for the 2012 representative season.

NAJHA trials will consist of a warm up, skill session, games, & goalie assessment. Cost of trials will be $10 per player (2 sessions, covers ground fees).

Players who proceed to SJHA selection trials will be asked to provide a commitment fee prior to the commencement of the trial. This will be refunded on the day for players who are not selected.
