Northern District Masters Hockey

Northern District Hockey is home to a Masters (“Vets”) team that plays in the Sydney Masters Hockey Association competition.

The regular season runs from April to September while there is a pre-season competition every year from February to March. The games are played on Tuesday/Wednesday nights at Homebush on both the Olympic turf and Pitch #2 with an occasional game at Moorebank. Official umpires are provided by the Sydney Masters Hockey Association.

Qualification age is 40 and over. You need to be turning 40 in the current year of the competition.

Requirements are a hockey stick, mouthguard, shinguards & a sense of humour.

Uniform consists of blue shorts, Northern District Hockey yellow socks (purchased from the canteen at Pennant Hills Park Hockey Complex). While team shirts are available for purchase from Gary Prowse at your first game for $40. Please bring a white T-shirt/shirt as an alternate strip each game in case of a clash of club colours with an opposition team.

Congratulations to Greg Smith
In 2011 Greg was awarded with a Life Membership from Northern District Hockey Association for everything he has done for Northern District Hockey as well as his personal achievements within hockey. Northern District Hockey were not the only ones to honour Greg in 2011. The Sydney Masters Hockey Association also awarded Greg with a Life Membership at the conclusion of the 2011 season. Greg can be seen in his goalie gear in the 2011 Team photo below.
