Registration Day

Our traditional “Registration Day” for Women’s & Junior teams will take place between midday (12pm) and 4pm on Saturday 11th February 2012 at our hockey fields at Pennant Hills Park.

Online Registration

New to NDHA for 2012 is online registration with an option for online payment. This is available for players registering for both Women’s and Junior teams.

Other than several junior ND teams competing successfully in indoor competitions over the summer the biggest event for our club has been the resurfacing of the turf and lighting upgrade at Pennant Hills Park Hockey Complex. With fingers crossed for continued dry weather we’ll see the field ready for play by the end of January.

The next step will be to continue to work towards the new second turf field due for completion by the end of 2012.

Final Teams

This season we have grown our indoor teams from 3 to 7. This is fantastic but in this expansion we have two and a half teams of U13s and two and a half teams of U15s. The plan is to have a third U15 team and keep only two U13 teams. Following this Sunday, if we lose any of our current U15 players we may remove the U15 Blades and enter an U13 Tomahawks team in it’s place with a slight reshuffle of the U13 players.  As you can see above we have attempted to keep all friends together as requested.

Only after this grading round will we know what grades each team will be put into.

Equipment

There will be an NDHA area on the concrete seating in front of Court 1. This is where we will have everything waiting for you:

-        Playing tops – allocated

-        Socks – $10 a pair

-        Goalie Kits

-        Team Kits

Please arrive approximately 30 mins before your scheduled game to pick up the gear you require.

You do not require a Goalie for Indoor Hockey but it is recommended, particularly for the higher grades. If you chose to have a goalkeeper a roster and kit sharing duties will need to be established, as most teams do not have a regular goalkeeper.

Entry is free to indoor hockey players and spectators. You can still access the whole of the Aquatic Centre for a swim following your game! As you approach the front counter, just let the staff know you are here for indoor hockey.

The courts are in the northeast corner of the Aquatic Centre. You cannot see the courts from the pool area. If you are unsure please ask for directions from the Aquatic Centre staff.

Please be aware that car parking within the Aquatic Centres car park and surrounding streets can be time limited and is patrolled by local council parking officers.

This summer will see the turf hockey field at Pennant Hills Park closed for resurfacing. Unfortunately this prevents NDHA from running the much enjoyed “Summer Comp” which is traditionally held at Pennant Hills Park from October-December each year.

With good fortune the current turf field at Pennant Hills Park will be resurfaced this summer and a new second turf will be constructed mid season 2012. This will allow the 2012 “Summer Comp” to return on two new turf fields bigger and better than before.

Thank you for supporting our “Summer Comp” and we look forward to catching up with you again in 2012.

The Noller Tudor Challenge Cup is an annual contest between Glebe Hockey Club & Northern District Hockey. 2011 is the first year the Cup was contested.

The Noller Tudor Challenge Cup may be contested by different age groups each year. 2011 saw the Central Area U11A Premiers “Glebe” vs. our mighty undefeated North Area U11A Premiers “ND Gold”.

Both U11 teams faced off on the 16 September at Pennant Hills and after a tightly fought game ND Gold were victorious, winning 3-1.

Congratulations must go to both clubs and the coaches, Geoff Baird (Glebe) & Brian Doughty (NDHA), for organising and creating the Noller Tudor Challenge Cup.
